For the final assignment, you will analyze any film we have seen in this course (feel free to consult with your instructor/facilitator about your decision) using all of the elements we have studied in class this semester. The elements of the film you choose to highlight should be based on your overall thesis about the film.
Introduction:- Choose one sequence (a couple of shots) from any of the films that we have watched in class.- Verbally describe what is happening in this sequence and identify its place in the films (ex. 1:15:16 – 1:23:27)- Describe why you have chosen this particular sequence.Analysis:- Analyze the mise-en-scene of this sequence.- Analyze the cinematography used in this sequence.- Analyze editing in this sequence.- Analyze the sound in this sequence.- Analyze the narrative on this sequence.Conclusion:- how do the elements described in the previous section work together to produce an overall system of your sequence.- evaluate the role of the selected sequence in the whole film.
