Overview
Choose a horror novel that has been made into a film and compare and/or contrast the novel with its film adaptation, paying specific attention to the way the conventions of horror have been transferred to the screen and any changes that have been made in the original in order to update or adapt the horror in the story to a contemporary audience.

The paper should be 8-12 pages long and demonstrate the use of at least 6-8 sources, two primary sources, and four academic sources such as scholarly articles on the texts under consideration, introductions to collections or novels, general information articles, or essays on the topic, etc. The topic must be discussed in advance with and approved by the instructor. Research must be cited using either MLA or APA documentation styles.
