Overview
It will consist of two essay questions, each worth 50% of the exam grade. Each essay should be 4-5 typed paragraphs in length with a thesis and brief conclusion. Here are the main ideas for the essays.
Question 1 will have to do with events in the eastern Mediterranean 1200-1000 BCE and the formation of nation states in the Levant (Phoenicia, Philistia, Israel, etc.)
Question 2 is about religion and cult in Iron Age II Israel and Judah
