1) Draw and label the interior layers of the Earth citing three observations that support our knowledge about these layers. The layers you need to include are: mantle, core, inner core, lithosphere, outer core, crust, asthenosphere, and lower mantle.

Also, briefly describe the mechanism that is thought to generate the Earth’s magnetic field. Does the moon or Mars have a magnetic field? What might happen to Earth if the geomagnetic field ceased to exist?
