Overview
This assignment will require you to take 5 original photos of people, events, places, or objects that capture what you have learned in this class and how geology affects your everyday life as a student/professional. This might include how geology is connected to the major or job field you have chosen, or perhaps just your everyday life in general. Be creative and have fun with it! You will display and explain your photos using PowerPoint. Each slide should contain one picture and the description of what the photo is, how it captures what you have learned in this class, and how it affects your everyday life as a student/professional. In addition to the 5 slides with photos and descriptions, you will also include a final slide with a “take home” message summing up your assignment and how it ties to what you have learned in this class. Grading of the project will be based on the relevance and explanation of the photos, their connection to topics discussed in class, and the overall organization and clarity of the assignment - see rubric below for details. This assignment will be graded based on the layout in the rubric below, is worth 100 points, and is due on December 9 by 11:59 PM EST.
