Overview
1. Briefly describe your DNP QI project and the setting where implementation is taking place (e.g., acute care, long-term care, outpatient clinic).
2. Identify two realistic barriers you might encounter during implementation or while sustaining your intervention (e.g., lack of stakeholder engagement, resource constraints, resistance to change, competing priorities, technology limitations).
3. Discuss evidence-based strategies to address each barrier. Use one or more implementation science models (e.g., IHI Framework for Spread, RE-AIM, Active Implementation Framework, Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research [CFIR]) to guide your response.
4. Explain how you will engage stakeholders (e.g., nurses, leadership, IT staff, patients) in sustaining the intervention beyond the implementation period.
5. Support your analysis with at least one peer-reviewed article or course textbook chapter from this week’s readings.
