Overview
Description of Final Project-Written Portion
For your project, you will develop an instructional plan for an individual student age K-12
in learning or improving a selected skill. Your plan will demonstrate how the concepts
you have learned apply to a realistic motor skill learning scenario.
The Parts in Your Instructional Plan
1. Introduction. Every instructional plan needs an introduction to set up the
instructional scenario. This is where you will introduce your learners, provide some
background about them, and give a brief overview of the instructional scenario. The
introduction will be graded on its clarity and novelty.
2. Diagnosis of the Learning Experience. In this section, you will provide more
detail about the personal characteristics of the learners, the skill you want to teach
them, the context in which this skill will ultimately be performed, and what aspects
you will focus on in your plan, be specific.
3. Design and Delivery of the Instructional Plan. In this section, you will provide
specific details about the different types of practice manipulations that will occur in
your plan, including the goals and specific objectives (measurable) for the activities
you have prescribed, how you intend to measure progress, and how you will provide
feedback, be specific.
4. Modifications. In this section, you will briefly discuss how you might change
your instructional plans in response to progress or if learning goals are not met.
5. Resources and quality of writing and organizing. Provide a list of
references and/or resources that show that your information is credible and that
inform interested readers where they can find additional information. Cite in the text
using APA style. If you are not sure please use the resources at the writing labs.
Each participant must provide at least one web resource and at least two peer-
reviewed journal articles for the project. You will also use your textbook.
