Action and Mixed Methods Research Assignment
Purpose: The purpose of this assignment is for you to understand Action Research and Mixed Methods Research and their different characteristics. It is also designed to have you show your understanding of the material in a different way! I want you to have fun and be creative!
Knowledge: You will utilize the following knowledge:
- Action Research (Defining, process, problems, data collection, data analysis, reporting and increasing the use of action research.
- Mixed Methods (Defining, designs, data analysis, sampling, rigor, and strengths and weaknesses.
- Jeopardy rules
Skills: You will utilize the following skills:
- Creativity
- Research skills
- Writing skills
- Critical thinking
Task- Here are the steps for this assignment.
1) If you are unfamiliar with Jeopardy, please watch this videoLinks to an external site.. The game portion actually starts around 1:47.
2) Create a Jeopardy board in either Microsoft Word or Excel. (do not use PDF) (There are templates that you can use online). Make sure you have borders.
3) You should have a top row for the categories. The categories should reference the information in Chapters 20 and 21. You should have five category headings. Make sure that the categories are bold and are centered
4) Then enter 100, 200, 300, 400, and 500 for each category. (List the numbers, not the questions. Each number should be a separate box.)
5) This should be one page.
6) On the next page in Microsoft Word, or create a new sheet in Microsoft Excel.
7) List the category and the dollar value. Using the information in Chapters 20 and 21, create a clue for each dollar amount. Then, put the answer in the form of the question. You should have a total of 25 clues and answers. Create one board (no need for double Jeopardy). Be creative while using the content in the chapters! Make sure you have your source cited at the end of the assignment

1) You will have five column headings.
