Overview

There are 5 questions and I would want you to respond to each with about 1 pageand half of detail for each prompt. Please use in text citations and references for each question. some questions ask for citations from th readings. you can just use online citrations. Dont worry about the readings

All the sources need to be scholarly sources. Don't use any AI, be honest! I need this paper before the deadline or on time without plagiarism

1. As the Administrator on Call, you are asked for help and advice regarding a patient who is currently in your Emergency Department. She is 16 and was brought in by her mother for conflict at home and behavioral outbursts and not wanting to go to high school. Her mother is with her, and she lives at home with her mother, step-father and step-sister. The nurse in the ED triage identifies that the patient has contemplated suicide in the past few weeks. She is currently in the ED with a 1:1 sitter. Assume that you don’t have much more information than this and that your hospital is not licensed to admit psychiatric patients on a hold. What recommendations for next steps would you make to the ED treatment team? Cite literature that you consult and any relevant rules and regulations in the manuals that you have access to. 2. You have been tasked with choosing which hospitals in the Greater Los Angeles area to selectively contract with for your health plan’s members. Keeping price out of the discussion, what factors would you choose related to patient safety and quality to make your decision and cite specifically where you would obtain that information. Present in the form of a proposal for “Best Hospital” that you will be presenting to senior leadership. 3. You are the newly appointed Chief Strategy Officer for Hospital X located in California and one of your growth strategies is to recruit new physicians into the hospital and to have your current medical staff choose to admit patients to or do procedures in your hospital. What tactics could you legally use to accomplish this and state why they are permitted and additionally speak to strategies that would not be permitted (and what the rule is that makes them illegal). 4. You are a member of the Medical Ethics Committee for Hospital Y and the Committee has been asked to provide guidance to the medical team on the following case: The patient is a young male (perhaps early 20s) who has sustained a 90% total body surface area burn as a result of a trash can fire that occurred in an abandoned structure in which he was living (unhoused). The burn team has indicated that the likelihood that he would recover with a meaningful quality of life would be zero, but the team would like the support of the Committee to withdraw the current care (he is on a ventilator and is receiving intensive sedation and pain medication). He has been in the hospital for 72 hours and does not appear to be making any progress. The team is recommending discontinuing mechanical ventilation and transitioning the patient to hospice in the hospital. We have not been able to confirm the identity of the patient and the FD and PD indicate that he was living with other unhoused people who knew that his name was “Dillon” and that he told them he did not have any friends or family. He was a regular user of heroin and meth. What questions would you ask during the discussion and what principles that we discussed in the course would help guide your thinking. Make a recommendation if the patient should be taken off the ventilator and placed on comfort care.Cite material in the assigned readings and any other material you find online to support your recommendation.

5. You have just been hired on to join the Patient Experience Team at Hospital Z. The hospital is viewed as being highly advanced technically and has attracted a prestigious group of medical professionals but has consistently suffered from poor patient satisfaction scores (HCAHPS). Provide at least 3 tactics (and quote a source for each tactic from something you find online) that you would use to improve the patient experience and be specific about how these tactics would be rolled out. For each tactic indicate: a. Proposed tactic b. Key stakeholders and how you would engage them c. Timeline for implementation and key milestones d. Measures of success
