- Pick a county in your college's state to analyze and describe the population's demographic in the community.
- Assess the area for opportunities to participate in activities that promote a healthy lifestyle. Provide a list of opportunities available that provide physical activity, nutrition, health screening and immunizations, social activities, and educational opportunities related to safety/healthy lifestyle practices. Include all public, private, or educational institution-related healthy lifestyle activities.
- Assess and discuss these opportunities for availability to all populations. Are they open to the public, free, is membership required? Etc.
- Discuss the accessibility for vulnerable populations, including the elderly, people with disabilities, and others. Include a discussion of barriers to specific populations to utilize the resources for a healthy lifestyle.
