Your task force is now ready to present their ideas to the leadership. Make sure to consider the research and methods you used to inspire ideas and potential challenges as you prepare for your presentation.
Use the process improvement or operational change you chose in Week 5 to complete this summative assessment.
Create a 10- to 15-slide narrated presentation for your leadership team. In your presentation:
- Explain your chosen improvement and your result goals.
- Justify the methods for driving change in your organization and the importance of certain steps.
- Describe the financial analysis process of the change and include the following:
- Potential costs for the change (i.e., items and supplies, not actual dollar amounts, and specific areas that will have a financial impact), such as:
- Supplies/equipment
- Space
- Staff (e.g., additional staff or downsizing)
- Education and training (e.g., covering shift/classroom time)
- Explain the potential risks versus benefits. Be specific when considering the impact on the following:
- Operations
- Quality of care
- Patient access (e.g., mobile unit)
- Explain how you will measure the success of the change. What metrics will you use (e.g., Emergency Department visit data)?
- Describe your exit strategy. In your strategy:
- Explain what will be done if there is continued measured success or the pilot process fails.
- Conclude your presentation.
