- (By Tuesday) Read the following study, paying particular attention to the findings and hypothesis: Childhood Obesity and CKD
- (By Tuesday) Identify at least one additional applicable journal article.
- (By Tuesday) Identify at least one condition where renal disease impacts patients in your local context.
- (By Wednesday, 23:59 EST of week 2) Post your initial response (8 points) which should include the following:
- A summary of the findings and hypothesis of the two articles.
- Identification of at least one additional applicable journal article or case study, including an identification of limitations, if applicable.
- Describe how renal blood flow and filtration are impacted.
- Describe the conditions that lead to renal disease, in your PPoP, if applicable.
- A mention of concepts that challenged you within the reading material.
- (by 23:59 EST Sunday of Week 2) Reply to the initial posts (8 points total) of two classmates. Between the two responses, you should have an example of each of the following:
- A reference to specific parts of your peers' posts and relate your insight to course content. Examples stems include the following: I relate/concur/disagree with X because Y. I liked what you did with X because Y. (2 points)
- A proposal of thought-provoking questions that might lead to a new perception or clarifying questions for a deeper understanding. Example stems include the following: Have you considered looking at X from Y perspective? When you said X, am I understanding you to mean Y? (2 points)
