There are numerous operational and financial challenges that could arise during implementation, and change is not always welcomed by all parties across an organization. Data from scholarly literature can help prepare healthcare administrators to anticipate and mitigate some of these challenges. In addition, close monitoring of data throughout the implementation stage and the time period following implementation will help healthcare leaders evaluate the decision’s impact and position them to respond quickly to problems.
For this Discussion, you will examine an article by Inga Gruß et al. (2021), who interviewed staff at community health centers about their experiences implementing Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) screening. You will analyze the factors that facilitated successful implementation of SDOH screening and describe factors that could impact the effectiveness of implementing initiatives at health services organizations.
