Health & Medical Question

In this assignment, you will identify, evaluate, and select the best policy options for addressing your selected public health issue Reducing Sexually Transmitted Diseases amongst African Americans in South Carolina. Begin by developing a comprehensive list of potential policy interventions, including regulatory, legislative, and programmatic options. For example, you might consider increasing taxes on e-cigarettes, implementing school-based prevention programs, or restricting sales to minors. The next step will be to assess each option by evaluating its impact, feasibility, and cost. Compare the pros and cons, potential benefits and harms, and the resources required for implementation. Finally, select the most effective and feasible policy option based on your evaluation, considering the evidence and analysis of potential impact. For instance, you may choose to increase taxes on e-cigarettes if it shows a high potential to reduce smoking rates. Completing this assignment will enhance your skills in policy analysis and decision-making in public health.
