Annotated Bibliography

As part of your professional development goals within this program, you will compile a library of resources you've collected through a collection of annotated bibliographies. Save all of your annotations in a separate file for you to draw upon at the end of this program and hopefully within your career. The "notes" should be a review and critique of literature to help you understand what has been done and identify where your own scholarship might take you in the respiratory therapy profession.

Instructions:

Identify two research studies on concepts related to this week's lecture that reflect different strategies that you will summarize in an annotated bibliography. This instructional video and additional resources from Purdue's online writing lab are designed to help write annotated bibliographies. As you amass a collection of annotations, or "notes" that summarize and offer a critique of literature, you will develop the resources and skills necessary to promote information literacy, critical thinking, and potentially, publication. Complete and submit the assignment by 23:59 CST Sunday.

  1. Write your annotated bibliography with "tags" in your example that follows the guidelines
    1. example: My first sentence will provide a broad summary of the article. My second sentence will identify key findings. My third sentence may expand on key findings if necessary [tag here: summary]. My first sentence here will describe analytic technique, research methods used [tag here: context]. My second sentence will provide a critique of strengths and limitations [tag here: critique]. This sentence will describe how it aligns with other contributions for the final paper. [tag here: contributions].
      Submission Instructions:
    2. At the conclusion of the week, submit a copy of two annotated bibliographies from two resources you've reviewed during the week addressing the concepts in the module. Please use the rubric as a guide to measure your work.
