Health & Medical Question

Overview

Overview

Milestone Three: Intervention Analysis In Module Seven, you will submit your intervention analysis. You will analyze the impact of prior public health efforts. You will evaluate the success of the selected intervention, identifying the social and behavioral factors and determinants of health that the intervention addressed. You will identify any contributions that have been made by public health agencies, positions, or roles with regard to your selected issue and analyze the intervention’s use of public health principles and theories to promote behavior change. You will discuss challenges that the intervention may have faced and explain how the intervention could have been improved. This milestone is graded with the Final Project Milestone Three Rubric and is due at the end of Module Seven. Prompt Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed. (Note: Section numbering is consistent with final project prompt.) III. Intervention Analysis A. Analyze the impact of prior public health efforts. • Strategies: Identify and explain three public health strategies used by the intervention you summarized in Milestone One. Address the following for each strategy explanation: Identify and provide a brief summary of the strategy. - Describe how the strategy was delivered by the intervention. Provide details about the intervention activities related to the strategy (for example, the public health “effort”). Why was the strategy used? - Determinants of Health: Align the strategy to relevant health determinants by identifying the determinants of health that each strategy addressed and discussing whether addressing these issues led to intervention success, providing justification. Impact: Discuss how the strategy impacted the health of the priority population or community and the measurable changes in health status that occurred through the intervention. o Strengths and Limitations: Conclude this section by assessing the strengths and limitations of the intervention.

B. Compare systems and settings and the challenges faced by the intervention, and improvements to public health made by the intervention.

• Agencies: Systems and Settings: With regard to your public health issue, compare the organization, structure, and function of healthcare systems, public health systems, and regulatory systems across local, national, and international settings. • Challenges: Discuss the challenges that this intervention may have faced. If you feel that it has not faced any challenges, what do you feel are some potential challenges that it could have faced? Be certain to justify your reasoning. • Improvements: Explain how you feel this intervention could have been improved by applying basic public health principles or theories discussed in the course. Be certain to support your claims. Resource Quality and Quantity Source Quantity Publication Year Quality Sources Need Assistance? The expected minimum quantity of scholarly sources used conforms to the following ratio: 1 source per page Therefore, a 6-page submission should have at least six scholarly sources. This guideline is a minimum. You are encouraged to use more sources, as needed. Information tends to lose its usability over time. This principle is why physicians do not use sources from the 1980s for valid HIV treatment information, for example. Sources without a publication year automatically prevent you from understanding their validity. Do not use “n.d.” sources. Preferred: The most up-to-date publications Acceptable: Publications within the past 5 years Possible: Publications within the past 10 years Only Historical Use: Publications older than 10 years Scholarly sources are those sources of information that provide optimal validity and reliability of content. These sources adhere to the following criteria: • Credible—from trained experts • Authoritative—from industry entities Use the library to find peer-reviewed publications (e.g., refereed journals). If you do not know what “peer-reviewed” means, meet with one of SNHU’s librarians for assistance. SNHU’s Shapiro Library also has other resources (e.g., handouts, FAQs) that can help you procure high-quality sources of information. What to Submit: Milestone Three should be completed using the Final Project Template document. Any sources should be cited according to the latest APA style. Consult the latest APA Style Guide available through the Shapiro Library for more information on citations. No AI please. I also attached the worksheet template below as well along with the rubric.
