Health & Medical Question

Response from working Sonographer :

Lauren Miranda

What I love most about my job is that it is different everyday. I work at trinity hospital, and enjoy the versatility of it all. Yes I do a lot of the same exams, but it’s always a new challenge. Where I work, each person has a job to do everyday. It changes from day to day so that we aren’t always stuck doing the same things. I enjoy that some days I am on procedures, and other days I am on outpatients or STATS. It helps keep each day exciting and not boring. What I like most about the field is that we get to help people. We are usually one of the first ones there to help get answers for them and the doctors. Some scans are harder than others. Some of the hardest exams that I have done is scanning breasts and finding cancer, finding Mets in the liver, and scanning babies with no heartbeat. Although there are sad cases, it’s nice to know that we are being helpful in finding cures and solutions. If I could go back and change things, I would still choose this field. I feel blessed everyday that I can come to work and enjoy what I do and love the people that I work with. I would say the best kind of attitude to have when in this field is to just have the mindset to learn new things everyday. I graduated a year ago, and I love that I work with such talented and smart women. I come into work excited to learn everyday.
