Overview
In this discussion we are going to ask each of you to contrast at least two types of shock each and describe treatment. Identify literature or protocols that inform your post. Incorporate experiences you may have had in your local context, if able.
- A low circulating volume (hypovolemic shock)
- Vasodilation (distributive shock)
- A primary decrease in cardiac output (both cardiogenic and obstructive shock)
- A combination
Instructions:
- Draft an outline that summarizes the type, etiology and treatment for both types of shock.
- Incorporate the following:
- literature or protocol
- experiences in your local context
- As you respond to your peers, compare and contrast their submission with your own.
