Need help creating Ted talk style PowerPoint

Overview

I need your support with two deliverables for my Doctor of Health Administration (DHA) capstone:

1. A 20-slide TED-style PowerPoint presentation, and
2. A fully written 18-minute speaking script that flows exactly with the slides.

Both must align with my approved doctoral white paper and the TED / Talk Like TED speaker guidelines.

DELIVERABLE 1: PowerPoint Presentation (20 Slides)

Overall Style Requirements

• TED/TEDx-style presentation
• Minimal text, no paragraphs
• One core idea per slide
• Clean, professional, executive-level design
• Slides should support the speaker, not repeat the script
• No heavy animations or clutter

Slide Structure (20 Slides Total)

Slides 1–4: Opening & Story

• Slide 1 must feature a full-slide photo of me and my cousin Josiah
• Emotional, respectful tone
• Minimal text (1 short line max)

Slides 5–8: The Problem

• Rural Mississippi mental health challenges
• Visuals: Mississippi map, icons for provider shortages, transportation barriers, stigma

Slides 9–12: Mental Health First Aid (MHFA)

• What MHFA is and is not
• Early intervention focus
• Visual explanations (icons, flow diagrams)

Slides 13–16: Proposed Model & Leadership

• Hybrid MHFA delivery model (online + in-person)
• Referral pathways
• Sustainability and equity by design
• Simple system diagrams preferred

Slides 17–18: Ethics & Impact

• Leadership responsibility
• Justice, beneficence, accountability
• System-level impact

Slides 19–20: Closing & Call to Action

• Return to Josiah’s story
• Clear call to action
• Strong, minimal closing

DELIVERABLE 2: 18-Minute TED-Style Speaking Script (REQUIRED)

This is critical.

• Script must be approximately 18 minutes when spoken aloud
• Written as exact dialogue, not bullet points
• Conversational, TED-style tone (not academic prose)
• Script must flow slide-by-slide with the PowerPoint
• Include stage directions, such as:

  • [Audience reflection]
• Script should align with my existing white paper arguments and leadership perspective

The goal is for the script and slides to work together seamlessly for an oral defense-style presentation.

Graphs & Visuals (Required in Slides)

Please include 4 clean, professional graphs, visually simplified:

1. Mental health provider shortages in rural Mississippi
2. Urban vs rural broadband access gap
3. Mental Health Professional Shortage Area (HPSA) coverage
4. Mental health crisis or suicide trend context (presented respectfully)

Graphs should:

• Be simple and easy to interpret
• Avoid clutter or excessive labels
• Match the overall design style

Important Rules

• No citations on slides
• References may appear in speaker notes if needed
• Do not add content outside what is provided
• This must be appropriate for a doctoral capstone and executive audience
