Overview
Outlines must be: 1) well-organized, using Roman Numerals/Letters, indents (never bullet points, dashes, etc.) & sub/categories, 2) succinct (short, in your own words), yet 3) thorough (includes all critical concepts), 4) accurate (correct info) and 5) follows all directions. Edit them down to 2 - 5 pages, but max 6. Discern between what is and is not important to include. The goal is to study ONLY from your Outlines to prepare for Quests & the Final. All assignments are graded anonymously to avoid bias.
To submit, upload your Word doc (you can get Word for free through BMCC--contact ELearning) by clicking the 'browse' button in the portal. Outlines are to help you prepare for each Quest and help improve your academic skills. :)
Grading Rubric for ON-TIME Assignments: If studying your Outline wouldn't get an A on the Quest, it won't earn a perfect 10.
9 - 10 = An Excellent 2 - 5 page Outline, using Roman Numerals/Lettering, indentation and proper subcategorization to indicate the relationships between different items (never bullet points, dashes, etc.). It's effective 'cave-man' speak delivers brief, correct explanations, in your own words, without missing any critical concepts/data from the chapters or PPTs. Perfect to study from.
7 - 8 = A very good Outline, but missing one important concept/topic or is too long or is poorly/inconsistently organized, missing proper sub/categorizing or indenting. Might not ace the Quest using only this to study.
5 - 6 = A good Outline, but missing multiple requirements or a chapter and is insufficient to prepare you for your Quest.
0 - 4 = Missing multiple critical concepts, lacks major organization or did not submit or submitted the wrong assignment.
