In this assignment you will draft 5 annotated bibliographies for peer review using the format utlized in module 6. You may include the 1 annotated bibliography submited in module 6 as part of the total (5). In this activity you will practice shaping the annotations and offer critique based on the format, information and clarity of the submission.
Instructions:
- Each annotation should consist of a (2-3 sentence) summary of the key findings/takeaway/context from the source, a brief (1-2 sentence) description of the analytic technique used (if applicable), a critique of strengths/limitations of the study, and a 1-2 sentence explanation of how the source will contribute to their final paper. The annotation should be in the student’s own words – do not copy and paste directly from the abstract or the text.
- Write your annotated bibliography with highglighted "tags" shown below, in your example that follows the guidelines
- example: My first sentence will provide a broad summary of the article. My second sentence will identify key findings. My third sentence may expand on the context [tag here: summary]. My first sentence here may describe analytic technique, research methods used [tag here: analytic technique]. My second sentence will provide a critique of strengths and limitations [tag here: critique]. My first sentence here will describe how the source aligns with my final PPoP paper. My second sentence will describe how it aligns with other contributions for the final paper. [tag here: contributions].
- This format will be practice for your final module's literature review and peer review of others who develop an annotated bibliography for their final paper.
