Start with a sentence that introduces whether drugs/alcohol have impacted your life or not. This is a personal reflection, so your voice and experience matter most. If drugs/alcohol have impacted your life, briefly explain how—this could be through personal experience, family, friends, or in your community. If neither has impacted your life, explain why you think that is and how you have managed to avoid their influence. Include specific examples or situations to support your “story” including phrases like “for example,” “as a result,” or “on the other hand” to connect your ideas. How have your life experiences made you feel or changed your perspective?What lessons have you learned or how have the experiences shaped your life choices?Use a concluding sentence that wraps up your thoughts or offers a final reflection.
Your paper must be completed based on the following criteria:
- Structured in paragraph form (headings should not be used).
- At least 8 – 10 sentences, double-spaced, 1-inch margins, 12-point Times New Roman font.
- Put a title on the top line of the first page. No other identifying information is needed.
