The Module Pre-Assessment is your opportunity to practice applying module content before submitting the final Competency Assessment. In your Final Assessment, you will be asked to examine the historic factors that lead to and govern the private healthcare system. You also explore concepts that evolved from the Patient Protection and Affordability Care Act (PPACA):

To prepare for your Final Assessment, based on the learning resources both in this Module and Module 4 as well as your research from Walden library, complete the following:

• Part One: Think about one historic factor that led to the development of private health insurance and one current regulation that govern the private health insurance industry.

For this portion of your Module Pre-Assessment, create an outline indicating the historic factor and the current regulations that you selected.

• Part Two: Reflect on the following concepts that evolved from the PPACA:
  • Elimination of Pre-existing Conditions
  • Patient-Centered Medical Home Model (PCMH)
  • Accountable Care Organization (ACO)s
  • Prevention and Wellness (two programs)

For this portion of your Module Pre-Assessment, create a list of the resources you plan to use to address these concepts.

Note that you do not need to resubmit your Pre-Assessment to address feedback.
