Nutrition for health

Overview

These 8 Meal Plan Assignments are cumulatively worth 20% of your Final Grade. Meal Plans 7 & 8 are worth 2x what any of the first 6 are worth. They are much more work. You will build a full-week of meals, working diligently to improve and grow it, step-by-step, each lesson. You start with two meals at a time and build to six. Do your best. Few have a meal plan sorted. Be one of the few. :)

It is not acceptable to attempt to pass off a fruit or tea or water as a meal or to claim that you skipped a meal or are fasting. You will lose those points, if you do this. For example, if you have to submit 2 lunches and you claim you skipped 1, you will only earn 50% of the credit because you did 50% of the work others did...and, that's if the 1 meal was great. If not, the score will be lower than a 5/10.

FORMAT RULES: [Make sure to read each Meal Plan's INDIVIDUAL Directions Below before completing it.]

1) Word document ONLY (no pdf's), no landscape (only portrait). List the nutrient first, followed by its # count.

2) List no nutrients with a 0 count (waste of space and time--we're looking for what's in the food, rather than what's not)

3) Each nutrient on a separate line (so they're easy to locate), nutrient first, # amount after, rounding to the nearest whole number

4) MUST USE THE CHART FORMAT PROVIDED. Do not make your own. Creativity is not valued here...following directions is.

5) Make a separate CHART for each meal and put all of them on the SAME Word doc for 1 simple submission each lesson.

Each Meal Plan should include IN THE CHART:

1) Each macro and micro nutrient in the food you're looking to ingest and the nutrient amounts (the entire point of the assignment).

2) Name and Calories of Foods. Please make sure you include sugar in every meal under macros.

Each Meal Plan should include OUTSIDE OF THE CHART:

1) One word for method of preparation, ie. 'sauteed, fried, steamed, boiled, etc.' (unless you ate out, then disclose restaurant name).

2) What time you'll eat and time between meals (before and after, so we learn your full daily 'consumption window' before fasting (sleep).
