Hello Group 3
I really enjoyed reading through your analysis of Abbott Laboratories. You did a great job making something that could easily feel overwhelming actually make sense. The structure felt intentional, and it was easy to follow how each section built on the next without feeling like too much at once.
What stood out to me most was how you handled the liquidity piece. Instead of just throwing numbers out there, you actually showed what the changes meant. Seeing the shift in working capital over the years and how you framed it as pressure rather than a full-on issue—made the analysis feel balanced and realistic. It didn’t feel dramatic, just honest.
I also liked how you approached operating efficiency. The point about inventory taking longer to move stuck with me because that’s the kind of thing that can quietly affect everything else, especially cash flow. You made that connection really clear without overcomplicating it, which I appreciated.
The profitability section was probably my favorite. Calling out that the improvement wasn’t necessarily from stronger operations, but more from external factors like tax benefits, showed real understanding. A lot of people would’ve just taken the numbers at face value, so I think that added depth to your analysis.
Overall, this felt like a well-thought-out breakdown that didn’t just rely on ratios, but actually explained what’s going on behind them. It was clear, grounded, and easy to follow.
One thing I’m curious about; do you think Abbott is actually moving in the right direction long-term, or are these small improvements kind of masking bigger issues that could come up later?
Great job on this, I genuinely enjoyed watching it.
