From Annotated Bibliography to a Literature Review
Overview
In this week's discussion board, you will share a copy of an annotated bibliography you authored and summarize how you can expand it into a literature review to shape your understanding of your Patient Population of Practice or Disease Management plan. Contribute at least three approaches to search available literature by category, keywords, resources to consider, etc. For the purposes of this discussion board, you will not complete a literature review. Still, you can review sections of the Disease Management Program Guide, Section IV, to identify topics where a literature review can support your work and describe why it is important.
For example, if you've completed an annotated bibliography on a specific topic, like Pulmonary Function results for stage IV COPD patients, you can expand your understanding of research on pulmonary function results AND COPD stages by searching available literature. This search can add value to the BACKGROUND section of your Disease Management Plan listed in Section IV of the Program Guide.
