Vulnerable Populations
Initial Post
This week we are focused achieving health equity.
Answer the following questions:
- Discuss the national health status of a specific vulnerable population identified during your windshield survey, including key statistics and common health issues. (This can be the same topic and target population from your Health Promotion Deliverable!)
- Reflect on how their vulnerabilities increase relative risk for poor health outcomes, provide examples and evidence. Consider what the vulnerable population is lacking and potential strategies to overcome it: Identify potential strategies to gather input from this population for healthcare planning and ideas on how to evaluate the adequacy of public and private resources to meet their needs.
