The reflective video blog (VLOG) has the purpose of connecting personal experience to course content. It is a safe space to talk about your learning and to ask thought-provoking questions. It will be graded (at a low weight) to incorporate critical thinking and the use of supporting details from the course content.
- Think about all that you have learned this week regarding data breaches in healthcare. Have you ever experienced your data being breached or given away without your permission (inside or outside of the healthcare field)? If you have, how did the data breach make you feel? Did you still trust the organization with your sensitive information? If you haven’t experienced this, how would you feel if this happened to you?
- Dig deeper now and think of your personal data within a healthcare organization's electronic recording keeping system. Who do you feel owns the data: you (the patient) or the healthcare organization? No sources are required but feel free to mention them. This is a place for you to reflect on what you have learned.
