Assignment Guidelines
Objective: Conduct extensive research on a healthcare organization and create a narrated/voice-over presentation.
* Please note: The organization must be a hospital, long-term care facility, or similar setting where patients receive care except cannot use Virginia Mason Medical Center. If you are unsure whether your chosen organization is appropriate, please contact me to discuss further.

Presentation Requirements:
- Overview of the organization:
- Mission
- Goals
- Location
- Collaboration with other local, national, or international healthcare agencies
- Current healthcare issues:
- Description of current healthcare issues being addressed by the organization
- In-depth discussion of each of the following related to your organization:
- Impact of leadership styles
- Influence of behavior on organizational culture
- Leadership's ability to influence the organization's mission fulfillment
- Organization's strengths and weaknesses
- Functions related to high-reliability organizations
- Management principles
- Management skills in daily operations
- Patient population served
- Model of healthcare delivery
- Clinical services offered
- Level of care provided
- Workforce characteristics
- Workforce management
- Employee satisfaction
- Fiscal operations
- Financial profile
- Patient financial mix
Expectations:
- Narrated/Voice-over PowerPoint presentation with 15-25 slides, plus a cover slide and reference slide(s).
- APA references and citations; use of at least 3 scholarly and timely (within the past 5 years) sources.
- Review the rubric to ensure all criteria are met.
