Instructions Prepare a 3-page written report (Word or PDF) using only the required sources provided. The requirements for your comparison and report are provided below.
U.S. System Structure & Financing (~1 page) Describe how the U.S. system is organized by payer. Include one or two historical milestones that explain *why* it's organized this way.
England's NHS — Comparative Lens (~0.5 page) Using the England profile, briefly describe the NHS's structure. This is not a full profile, it is enough information to contrast with the the description of the U.S. system.
What the contrast reveals (~1 page) Using *Mirror, Mirror 2024*, identify 2–3 specific measures where the U.S. and the UK diverge (some examples: cost per capita, life expectancy, avoidable mortality) For each measure explain what the structural difference between the two systems help explain about that divergence. The rankings between the U.S. and the UK should vary across the measures selected. (Example: one measure in which the U.S. ranks higher than the UK and two measures where the UK ranks higher than the U.S.)
Synthesis (~0.5 page) Based on this analysis, identify one clear strength and one clear weakness of the U.S. system's structure, grounded in what you found. This is not a general impression, but a claim you can point to with specific evidence.
