This week is our second focused-response discussion board assignment, worth 10 points.
Prompt: We're nearing the end of the semester, and we've covered a lot of history. Pick one or two lessons from the modules presented so far (not the textbook) and explain how they changed your view of history. For example, maybe you thought that ancient Mesopotamian society was primitive, and learned that, in fact, it was quite advanced. Or had an idea about the "Dark Ages" from watching movies that changed when you learned more about Europe's medieval period.
Be sure to describe the preconceptions you had coming into the course, and give clear examples from the course module or modules that changed your view. This is a personal reflection, so there are no "right" or "wrong" answers, but be as specific as you can.
Aim for a word count between 200 and 300 words.

Absolutely no outside sources allowed! Please limit your response to a discussion of material presented in the modules from this course. Neither I nor your classmates want to spend time responding to unreliable material taken from random websites, or generated by ChatGPT.
