Overview
1) In the first post (around 500 words), please provide your interpretations and analysis of all assigned sources from weeks ten and eleven to answer the following question: How did global war and people's experiences during the first half of the 1900's alter people's views of empire and inform processes of decolonization? You must offer analytical insights about all sources: "The First Hours of the 1914 War" by Zweig; one of the primary sources from "Mobilizing the Home Front: Women" by Shevin-Coetzee; the assigned scene from the film, 1917; "The Rape of a Country," by Senghor; "Hands Off Abyssinia!" by Kenyatta; and the assigned scenes from the film, Days of Glory. You must highlight specific examples from at least two sources with citations of page numbers (for the readings) or time (for the films.)
2) Please state in a second post (around 150 words) what you learned that is new to you in this segment's material.
