Discussion Prompt:
Due Friday: In your first post (min: 300 words) to the discussion forum, choose two important historical persons or events discussed in the learning materials listed for this discussion. Note that each person, event, or theme must come from a different assigned chapter or video! You may not discuss two people, events, or themes from the same chapter or video if you want full credit.
In each paragraph:
- Discuss the "history facts" of the event or person using historical information from the readings by addressing these historical questions: Who? When? Where? What?
- Note that each paragraph must include one complete sentence copied and pasted from the course textbook or one of the assigned videos that illustrates the main points you are making. The quote must be inside quotation marks and must be properly cited follow the instructions at the end of this discussion prompt.
- Then, explain why you choose them and why you believe they are important.
- Your explanation of why you chose each person, event, or theme and why you believe it is important must be at least 3 sentences in length and must show true personal engagement with the course material!)
