Overview
Final Paper Description:
Papers should be argumentative and driven/supported by the sources. Historical biographies/events focusing on an individual and a specific event that has helped shape world history is a fantastic methodology for your papers (but not mandatory). Papers should be between 4-5 pages in length, cover page, double-spaced, one-inch margins, 12-font, footnotes, (7-8 sources for your final paper), and bibliography. All papers should follow the Chicago Manual of Style (CMS). Your Final paper will converse with your topic’s correlating historiography.
Annotated Bibliography: AB’s will be the student’s choice. Sources should cover a topic you are looking to write about in your final research paper. Make your own page. Avoid cutting and pasting material already existing on the Internet. Avoid Wikipedia, except as an initial search engine. Become the authority on a lesser-known event that “should” be included formally by Wikipedia (if possible). Concentrate on academic books and articles. Remember, this assignment is worth 10% of your final grade. You are looking to join in on the conversation on your topic. Your sources should reflect how you will converse with topic and historiography.
