Write about a 1 to 1 1/2 page (double spaced--12 point font) essay in which you defend or denounce the actions of Esther, Shiphrah, and Puah.The essay should incorporate your thinking on civil disobedience, just as practiced by the heroines above and Rev. MLK, Jr.
Spoiler alert from the Professor: Civil disobedience can never by legally sanctioned. However, is there a higher (moral) standard that should be followed even to point that one is willing to accept the consequences of his/her actions? After all didn't Queen Esther (known as Hadassah to her friends), say "I will go to the king, even though it is against the law.
