Overview
For this project, you will use what you learned to create a detailed?presentation (of not more than eight slides)?of the Executive Branch and include text for each slide to cover the concepts as follows:
Presentation:
- Give a brief description of the Executive Branch of the United States government. For example, who is included in this Branch of government, and what general powers does this Branch hold? This should only be one slide, not less than 100 words. This should be in paragraph format.
- There are fifteen Departments in the Executive Office of the President. Use the chart found in Unit 4.3 of your online textbook, entitled 'Organization Chart of the Executive Branch,' to select any three departments. Note the names of your chosen departments, and describe the purpose of your chosen departments. Each department should have its own slide, which should be no less than 100 words long. This section should be three slides in total, and each slide should be in paragraph format.
- List and describe all positions included within the Presidential Establishment. This should be not less than 100 words in length. You should include ALL of these positions on one slide. They should be in bulleted, number, or outline format.
- Research the National Security Council and explain what happens within this sector. This should not be less than 100 words and consist of one slide. This should be in paragraph format.
- For your final slide, list sources.
You must have a cover slide that includes all of your heading information. You must have a Works Cited slide outlining the sources you've used. You must use visual aids that do not consist of the department emblem and which prove to enhance your presentation. Note that headings and sources are not included in word count totals!
