This is it. Selecting media for the group page is process of information creation. In the previous exercise, you have observed your individual cards and draw inferences based on them. Now, you are putting all the cards of the group in front of you and performing the same exercise of observing them, discussing them with your group mates, and thinking about the commonalities, differences, and relationships among them (that would become the "big idea" of your project). After this observation and discussion, you will then select a few media as the key items that can contribute and well accentuate the "big idea."
- Approximately 1000 words of text (this is not very long, either!)
What you write should contain some balance of the following elements:
- A topical “frame” to introduce the overarching theme and findings of your project.
- Illustrate the "big idea" (Think about the meaningful commonalities and differences among them and the ways in which they relate to each other. ) in relation to irregular/alternative medicine and history of pain.
- Use individual page as examples to accentuate the "big idea."
- Main Text: Writing is clear, direct, and comprehensible to a general public audience outside this course. (5 point)
