History Question

Essay prompt

At the end of the video, it asks the question, "In what ways does music hold the power to influence social change?" Write an essay that answers this question with a focus on 2 different eras. One of these eras must focus on American music during the 1960s, but the other one can be any decade since then that has music with which you are familiar. (If you grew up outside of the United States, please feel free to use international examples!) Give examples from both periods of the issues musicians were passionate about and whether you think "music with a purpose" really ends up serving that purpose.

I grew in the United States in Florida.
