  • Choose one of the options listed on page 8.2. Read and watch the materials as instructed on the page you chose.

    Step 2: Prepare your slides

    You can use any slide program that you are comfortable with: Google Slides, PowerPoint, or a web-based program like Canva.

  Discuss the following questions:

  1. 1. Your presentation should address 3 main topics:
        • What does the primary source say? What are the key arguments made in the article?
        • What was going on in history related to the argument? What are key points of relevant information from the textbook and/or the videos?
        • How does the primary source connect to the history?
     2. Your opinions: What was interesting or surprising about what you learned?
     3. AI disclosure: If you used AI in preparing your presentation, tell us how. Where can we see your voice and creativity in the assignment?

     See the rubric for full grading details. A quick list of things to consider below:
     • All questions addressed: ⚠️ Make sure to discuss the contents of the primary source and the historical context.
     • Clear citation for each piece of information, using assigned textbook and module page
     • Student voice is strong and seems authentic. Minimal use of generic phrases such as "complex factors." Natural use of vocabulary.
     • AI disclosure included where AI is used.
