You need to write an 11-page paper, not including the title page or the citation page, about the Suez Canal. Your argument will be, "Quotidian violence, hypocrisy, and imperialism helped sustain the British Empire, but these same practices ultimately exposed its weaknesses and contributed to its downfall, as evidenced by Britain’s control of the Suez Canal." The central portion of the paper should discuss how we see Britain fall through the Suez Canal, rather than asserting that the Suez Canal caused the fall.
