Topic: The paper proposes to compare Egypt and Mesopotamia and has identified 4 points of comparison along with geography. I have some concerns that 4/5 points of comparison for 2 societies might be difficult to cover in a paper of this length. You may want to limit yourself to 3-4. What you plan to argue about these comparisons – even in a working stage – would be helpful at this point. Note that History papers are more than a narrative of major events. They advance an argument, an interpretation of the past and the significance of these events based on an objective analysis of the evidence. How should they be viewed? What impact did they have on specific groups? What does this impact tell us about larger themes?
Sources: The sources here appear scholarly. I would recommend diving into the library databases for more sources. The paper will also need primary sources. Primary sources (historical documents, art, etc.) are vital to a history paper as they represent raw evidence from history in support of your argument.
