Overview
In your assigned groups, summarize the main argument of BOTH Secondary source readings from Steven Hahn and David Blight from week 2. Then, list at least 3 specific examples each author uses to support their argument. One member of your group should post the combined findings for this assignment.
For this task, you will need to review the two secondary sources (Hahn and Blight) and summarize the main arguments and evidence. Please use the "How to Engage with an Argument" video from Week 1 to help guide you in this assignment. The main goal of this task is for each student to complete the work individually, and then collaborate and decide together as a group on the thesis statement for each text and for the best pieces of evidence for each argument. Do not submit more than 3 evidence points per text. There is no need to write more than 1 page per reading (less is totally fine, please also feel free to use bullet points with citations if you wish). This is about accuracy, not length; it is better to be as concise and precise as possible. Each group should only submit 1 agreed-upon version of the assignment, which looks something like this:

Let me also say the following about general group work etiquette/guidelines:
1.) Do NOT wait until the last moment (aka Sunday night) to get into contact with your group. This is neither fair nor reasonable. If you work a 9-5 and do not intend to do the work until Sunday night, let the group know this and establish a deadline that allows you all to collaborate on the assignment. As a reminder, I DO NOT accept late work without a documented excuse or a previously granted extension.
2.) Do NOT just divide up all the work and leave one person to compile all the information. This creates massive problems when individuals do not complete the assignment and is unfair to the individual forced to compile everything. You are being scored as a GROUP.
3.) Please only have ONE PERSON per group post the assignment in the assignments tab on Brightspace and include the names of all participating group members. There is no need for multiple submissions from the same group. If individuals are not completing the assignments or not responding to group emails, then do not include their name(s) on the submission post.
4.) Maintain contact with your group. You HAVE to check your Hunter email in this class since we are all using blackboard, but please feel free to use Discord or WhatsApp or whatever other form of communication if it is preferable. It is expected everyone will check their hunter email once every 24 hours during the week, at a minimum. Please understand that I have NO WAY of contacting your group members outside of Blackboard, so please do not write to me asking me to get in contact with group members. There is literally nothing I can do that you yourselves cannot do.
5.) As I mentioned in the introductory video, group work is a REQUIREMENT of the college and the department. You may not submit your work individually.
