The U.S. Supreme Court has been deciding some cases involving Intellectual property rights (patents, trademarks, or copyrights), which has been a hot topic. For this assignment you are to locate a court case dealing with an infringement of one's intellectual property rights - you cannot use any of the cases discussed in the textbook's chapter. You may use findlaw.com or visit actual court websites. Remember you want a case dealing with an intellectual property right issue.
Once you locate the case, then you will do the following:
- Provide the definition for the intellectual property right that is being discussed in your case.
- Discuss the duration for the intellectual property right being discussed in your case and not for how long the case lasted in the courts.
- Summarize the case (include some facts, why the party is suing, the issue before the court, and the court's outcome).
- Include the link for the case. (Remember link should take us to the exact location on where you found the case. Failure to provide the link or if you provide an inaccessible link will cause you to lose points.)
