Management Question

Overview

What did you learn from your internship/job that can be applied to your MBA

courses: ACC501-3: Accounting for Decision Making MGT501-3: Management and Organizational Behavior, and my internship is at CARZ 88 AUTO LLC used car dealership as a aministrative assistance.
  • Submit a 2-3 page paper (Experiential Learning Essay) at the end of the term detailing how your current MBA course/s relate to your internship experience. Please see details below for expectations.
  • You must receive an 80/100% score on the graded essay or above to pass the class.
  • Do NOT use an AI tool to write your paper for you. Turnitin has an AI detection tool instructors can view, and if it comes up as being generated by AI, your paper will not be accepted. We are not concerned as much about the grammar as we are about reading your thoughts.

In order to fulfill the requirements of the assignment and to earn as many points possible, it is important that you address each of the following items (Note: Please review the rubric (visible below) in order to fully understand what is being graded and to identify the percentage of points associated with each). Use the following outline:

  • Name and discuss the two courses you are currently taking (for example, DRU500 and MGT501). If only taking one, state this in your summary (i.e., be clear)
  • Provide your current work/internship title
  • Describe your work-related responsibilities
  • Relate/apply your current MBA courses to your present work and/or your future career goals. Also, is there anything that you are learning at your present work/internship that is helping you to understand what you are learning in your current classes?

Organize and write the essay in your own words so that the professor can see that you understand the material and are able to apply it. This means do not use an AI generation tool to write your paper. These are personal, self reflections. We want to see that you are reflecting on your courses and that you are thinking about the material in relationship to what you are learning. The goal here is to write from your own personal thoughts (from the heart) versus writing a scientific, research-oriented paper. Papers that score the highest demonstrate true self-reflection and thought.

Be sure to include a cover page. Also, please include a reference page if you do choose to share any references to the literature in your paper (although adding in the literature is not a requirement for your self-reflection). Check your paper for spelling and grammar before submitting your final.
