Case Study - Planning to Merge
In this course, you will experience a segment of a multi-year integrated case study that offers you the opportunity to apply the knowledge gained in the course to a real-world situation. The case study weaves together practical application with doctoral research by requiring that the business decisions made regarding the case study be supported by current or seminal research. In this assignment, you will address the organizational goals and the ecosystem factors that must be considered before merging the two organizations. Write a paper (1,000-1,250 words) that addresses the organizational goals and the ecosystem factors that must be considered before merging the two organizations following the acquisition of ABCTech by Purple Cloud as presented in "MGT-805 Integrated Case Study." Your response to each item below should appear as a separate section of the paper using the headings provided. Include the following in your paper:
- Mission, Vision, Values: A discussion contrasting the mission, vision, and core values of ABCTech and Purple Cloud. Which of these are easily reconciled and which create concerns for the post-acquisition organization?
- Ecosystem: A research-supported discussion of and rationale for the factors that must be considered before a new, post-acquisition organizational ecosystem can be successfully created.
