Analyzing customer feedback - Business Analytics

Overview

USE: techsolutions_feedback_data.csv

'TechSolutions Inc.' is a burgeoning tech company that has recently launched a suite of software products catering to both individual consumers and businesses. Since the launch, they have actively collected feedback from their users through online surveys to gauge the market's reception and understand areas of improvement.

The feedback form contains various questions, but critically, it includes:

  1. A categorical question asking users which product they're providing feedback on (e.g., Product A, Product B, Product C, etc.).
  2. A rating scale for overall satisfaction (e.g., Very Unsatisfied, Unsatisfied, Neutral, Satisfied, Very Satisfied).

Your task is to analyze this feedback, focusing on the categorical data provided, to derive insights and actionable recommendations for 'TechSolutions Inc.'.

Objectives:

  1. Understand Product Popularity: Which products receive the most feedback? Is this indicative of their popularity, or are there other factors at play?
  2. Gauge Overall Satisfaction: What's the distribution of satisfaction ratings across all products? Are there specific products that have notably higher or lower satisfaction scores?
  3. Visualize the Data: Use appropriate charts and graphs to represent your findings, ensuring they're both insightful and easily interpretable.

Steps and Guidelines:

  1. Organize the Data:
    • Ensure the data is structured, with clear headings for each column.
    • If there are missing values in the categorical columns, decide how you want to handle them (e.g., omit, replace, etc.).
  2. Summarize the Categorical Data:
    • Create a frequency table for the products based on feedback count.
    • Create another frequency table for the satisfaction ratings.
  3. Visual Representation:
    • Use a bar chart to depict the number of feedback entries for each product.
    • Utilize a pie chart or another appropriate chart to showcase the distribution of satisfaction ratings.
  4. Analysis and Insights:
    • Interpret the visualizations. Which products seem most popular based on feedback volume? How does overall satisfaction compare across products?
    • Are there products with disproportionately high or low satisfaction scores?
  5. Recommendations:
    • Based on your analysis, provide actionable insights. Should 'TechSolutions Inc.' focus on improving a particular product? Is there a product that deserves more marketing attention due to its high satisfaction scores

Submission Guidelines:

  1. Submit your organized Excel workbook with clearly labeled sheets for raw data, frequency tables, and charts.
  2. Accompany your workbook with a report (maximum 3 pages) detailing your findings, analysis, and recommendations. Ensure this report is both concise and comprehensive, making it easily digestible for company stakeholders.
