Purpose
This assignment aims to develop an understanding of trust, its psychological foundations, and the communication practices that strengthen or produce it. Parameters
Your paper will be 1700-2300 words, including at least three references. All writing must be in the current APA formatting. Application of graduate-level writing and grammar should be carefully considered and implemented. This is a formal paper and may be used to present evidence of mastery to an organization. You must include at least two articles published in peer-reviewed journals (not popular press or online posts). Prompt
Imagine a world without trust. Since we do not know everything, cannot be in more than one place at a time, and are subject to fatigue and competing priorities, we must rely on other people and strategies to make many decisions. Trustworthiness is a highly valued character quality, and learning to build trust with others is an important skill.
Most research and common sense support the value of being trusted. However, relatively little attention is paid to the process of building trust. In corporate life, job titles often substitute for more time- and energy-consuming trust-building investments. What are the steps or approaches to building trust?
To ensure the efficiency of your research and writing, focus on this question:
How can managers and leaders create a sense of trust among team members and employees?
Aim for the individual level, not a broad level, in your paper. You may contextualize your comments in the paper in any organizational situation, such as leadership, teamwork, co-worker relationships, etc.
This assignment utilizes the TurnItIn originality tool. Upon submission, TurnItIn will generate an originality report that detects plagiarism. This report will be sent to your instructor.
