Overview
Designing Training and Needs Assessment
Designing organizational training takes needs assessment into consideration. Developers want to know:
- What are the organizational goals and objectives for the training?
- What are the job-related tasks that need to be learned?
- How will performance competencies and skills be measured?
- Who are the individuals that need to be trained?
Research modern theories that discuss needs assessment and current understanding of workplace learning/training development. In your paper, make sure to address the following:
- Why is it important to apply a comprehensive needs assessment in developing training for today's business environment?
- What strategies do you recommend in designing training that will allow the organization to remain competitive?
- What does the research say are best practices to assess training competencies/effectiveness?
