Overview
This week’s assignment we will continue using the ProjectPlace software and continue using the project that you started for your prior project. Remember, any support you need with logging in or with the software should be done via UniversityPPM
- Log into Projectplace using your school e-mail and the password you created.
- Watch the following videos:
- ProjectPlace Whiteboards (if you need a refresher on working with Whiteboards)
- There is no assignment video – reference prior videos as needed.
- Navigate to your existing project in ProjectPlace
- Click on the Workspaces menu, which should open your workspace. If you are in multiple courses, you may need to click on the Workspaces sub-menu to change which workspace you are in.
- First, go to your Plan. Under the Monitor & Control major deliverable, add at least two more deliverables related to Monitoring & Control. Set the dependency and lengths of these appropriately so they fall throughout the length of your project. Snip this and add to a Word document with the title “Updated Monitor & Control”
- Next, under the Close deliverable, add at least four (4) deliverables under project close and at least two activities per deliverable. Make sure to have the dependencies represent correctly so all have a predecessor and all except the last close activity has a successor. Snip this and add to a Word document with a title “Project Close.” Be sure to show the Gantt chart.
- Navigate to the Whiteboards tab on the top of your workspace.
- Create a retrospective MindMap
- Choose the option to create a Mindmap Retrospective (using the Retrospective template)
- Be creative and pretend you are now done with your project. Add in 3-4 successes (Winds helping team), 3-4 opportunities/challenges (Anchors delaying team), and 3-4 actions. Be sure these responses relate to your project. For example, if you are doing a software project, maybe a success is that having data in early for users to train on improved employee preparedness.
- Export the Mindmap using the menu (three little lines) and choose copy to clipboard. Paste into a Word document with a page title of “Retrospective”.
- Submit the word document for grading.
