Overview
3.4 Analytics - Planning
You should first read and watch the 3.4 Analytics - Planning tutorials before starting this submission. This assignment is untimed, but you only have one submission (practice following tutorial examples and building your own spreadsheets or files). Plan to submit this assignment when you have sufficient time (there are 4 problems). There are multiple questions being pooled for each type of problem in this is a multiple choice quiz.
Note: Be sure to save your work on the analytics for submission at the end of the quiz, as well as further review. After the due date you can review professor feedback to get help to fix any errors for partial credit as similar analytic questions are on the final exam too.Weighted Scoring (or Factor Rating) Method - (9 minutes) Same decision analysis method covered last week in 2.4 Analytics - Networks/Locations. This application is focused on supplier selection (e-book demonstrated similarly). Demonstrates manual and Excel solution (Week 2, 2.4 example used POM for Windows too).
Aggregate Planning - Example 1 Tutorial - (9 minutes) Explains aggregate planning or sales & operations planning with an example. This manual solution can easily be built into an Excel spreadsheet model.
Aggregate Planning - Example 2 Tutorial - (4 minutes) Explains a second aggregate planning example. This manual solution can easily be build into an Excel spreadsheet model.
Revenue Management - (11 minutes) Explains revenue management with an example. This manual solution can easily be built into an Excel spreadsheet model.
